THE ROLE:
In this role you will technically lead the Server DPPM Data Center debug team. The Server DPPM Data Center is used to identify the DPPM of AMD EPYC products. As a Debug lead you will be responsible for driving improvements in the testing, failure identification and debug process working with HW System Engineering teams, IT teams and other stakeholders.
THE PERSON:
The AMD Server platform validation team is looking for a dynamic Manufacturing data center Debug Engineer to join our growing team focused on improving quality of AMD EPYC processors. The individual needs to have a strong understanding of x86 architecture, hands on post silicon System platform validation and the general silicon manufacturing engineering process. A successful candidate must also possess outstanding verbal, as well as written, communication skills.
Responsibilities
Define the technical specification of the DPPM data Center to identify SoC manufacturing issues and logical failures.
Drive the technical specification to implementation of the DPPM data Center working with platform, silicon, debug tools, IT teams and other stakeholders
Drive continuous technical improvements in the testing, failure identification and debug process.
Work with debug and manufacturing teams to root-cause of key product issues, manufacturing blockers in a Datacenter Center environment.
Improve debug capabilities and methodology over time by identifying common challenges or impediments to efficient debug and working with partner organizations to drive innovation in platform architecture, design, tools, and methods.
Manage and track technical issues, risks, and priorities. Manage executive communications, including program status, risks, and opportunities.
Requirements
Strong understanding of x86 architecture
Hands on post silicon System platform validation
General silicon manufacturing engineering process
Outstanding verbal, as well as written, communication skills.
BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or related major with 7+ years of applicable experience.
Nice-to-haves
Experience in semiconductor x86 debug, fault isolation, failure analysis and/or product engineering yield debug.
Experience with System-level debug and correlation to ATE
Experience in developing automated tests
5+ years of experience in product and test engineering, specializing in silicon debug or FA/FI
