We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the AM shift to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse patient populations, including geriatrics, behavioral health, and acute care settings. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through attentive and respectful caregiving, utilizing a broad range of clinical skills and medical knowledge.
Responsibilities
Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support, including use of Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices
Monitor and record vital signs accurately using EMR/EHR systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations
Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and safety protocols are followed
Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory impairments, or behavioral health needs
Assist with catheter care, wound care, and other medical procedures following aseptic techniques
Support patients during transfers and mobility exercises, ensuring safety at all times
Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans for diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, ICU, trauma, and post-acute care settings
Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols for infectious disease care and aseptic techniques
Document patient interactions thoroughly in medical records and ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations
Skills
Experience in various healthcare settings including hospitals (Level I & II trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospice care, outpatient clinics, or home & community care environments
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs monitoring
Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) and handle emergency situations effectively
Experience working with special populations such as those with disabilities or developmental delays is advantageous
Strong communication skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Compassionate caregiving attitude with a focus on patient safety and comfort
