<strong>Level:</strong> Experienced<br><br><strong>Position Type:</strong> Full Time<br><br><strong>Education Level:</strong> High School<br><br><strong>Category:</strong> Education<br><br><strong>Description</strong><br><br><u>Job Summary:</u> <br><br>The Travel Coordinator will arrange business travel for employees, students, and athletics teams, identifying the most cost-effective and efficient travel arrangements and making necessary reservations for accommodation.<br> <strong><u>Essential Functions:</u></strong><ul> <li>Reviews and approves travel requests submitted via Colleague; requests corrections when/if needed.</li> <li>Research and compares available travel and hotel accommodations to identify the best available option for each travel need.</li> <li>When travel arrangements are within approved travel reasons and budget limits, makes all arrangements and reservations as requested.</li> <li>Monitors and facilitates the use of company credit cards, requests statement reconciliations from all card holders monthly.</li> <li>Reconciles the Business Office American Express travel card timely monthly, providing all receipts and appropriate documentation.</li> <li>Reviews and approves reimbursements for travel expenses and provides follow up for travel advances and associated reconciliation, including return of funds.</li> <li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li> </ul><strong><u>Secondary Functions: </u></strong><ul> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li> <li>Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to assess multiple options and to identify the best choice to serve a specified goal.</li> <li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.</li> <li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.</li> </ul><b><u>Organizational Responsibility:</u></b> <br><br>None <br><br><strong>Qualifications</strong> <ul> <li>High school diploma required; some higher education preferred.</li> <li>Excellent administrative experience and communication skills required</li> </ul> <strong><u>Physical Requirements: </u></strong><ul> <li>Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li> <li>Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. </li> </ul>
