The Cybersecurity Risk Analyst will be instrumental in managing risks associated with information technology systems. This role encompasses creating risk assessment questionnaires, conducting risk assessments of applications and infrastructure (both on-premises and cloud), and evaluating vendors against a defined risk framework. The ideal candidate will identify risks inherent in how the business and technology workforce utilizes IT, thereby supporting technological systems effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Research technology security issues and create risk assessment questionnaires
  • Schedule and perform information risk assessments, documenting control deficiencies
  • Collaborate with Enterprise IT to discuss cybersecurity risk findings
  • Provide risk remediation recommendations to mitigate identified control gaps
  • Ensure that risks are clearly communicated to both business and technology stakeholders
  • Evaluate management responses and ensure remediation plans address control gaps
  • Create assessment reports and dashboards for IT owners
  • Document risk issues in the designated risk register
  • Assist groups through the policy exceptions and risk acceptance process
  • Participate in improving the information risk assessment process

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in risk assessment in areas such as application, infrastructure, or vendor risk management
  • Experience in the financial services industry is a plus but not required
  • Proven knowledge of cybersecurity technical issues and information technology systems

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • CISSP/CISM/CRISC/CCSP certification preferred

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of risk assessment experience in relevant areas
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity methodologies, policies, and best practices
