Duties
Assist licensed electricians with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites.
Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support accurate wiring and system layouts.
Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and assembling electrical components.
Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
Conduct basic testing using tools like ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical circuits and identify issues.
Follow safety procedures diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to construction site protocols.
Gain experience working with construction framing carpentry, conduit installation, and wiring of electrical panels.
Skills
Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is a plus.
