We are seeking a highly organised, motivated, and experienced Aviation Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is a vital role within our Operations Department, responsible for coordinating, monitoring and managing all aspects of our daily global flight operations.

Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will play a key role in maintaining operational control, supporting global flight activity and ensuring full compliance with aviation regulations and company procedures.

The successful candidate will work on a 12-hour rotating shift pattern, alternating between day and night shifts, providing 24/7 operational coverage.

The role reports directly to the Head of Operations / Operations Manager.

  • *Key Responsibilities
  • Flight Coordination: Plan, schedule, and coordinate all flight activities, including aircraft, crew, ground handling, fuel arrangements, and operational services to ensure efficient and timely operations.
  • Aircraft Monitoring: Track and monitor real-time aircraft movements, proactively identifying and resolving operational disruptions or delays.
  • Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for flight crews, ground handlers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure clear and effective communication.
  • Operational Decision-Making: Make time-critical operational decisions to manage changing circumstances while maintaining safety, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Weather Monitoring: Monitor global weather conditions and support adjustments to flight plans in coordination with dispatch and flight crews.
  • Compliance: Ensure all operations are conducted in accordance with aviation regulations, safety protocols, and internal company procedures.
  • Permit Management: Arrange and manage international overflight and landing permits, ensuring all regulatory approvals are obtained accurately and on time.
  • Operational Support: Provide operational assistance to flight crews and clients throughout all phases of flight planning and execution.
  • *Skills and Qualifications
  • *Essential
  • Minimum two years’ experience within aviation operations
  • Experience supporting international or global flight operations
  • Strong understanding of aviation regulations and operational procedures
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and customer service skills
  • Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency with aviation operational systems and software
  • Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • *Desirable
  • Experience within business aviation or charter operations
  • Knowledge of international flight permits and regulatory requirements
  • Experience using flight planning or operations control systems
  • Previous experience working within an Operations Control Centre (OCC)
