Job Summary/Company: Sparks Group has partnered with a growing multi-location hospitality brand to hire an HR Generalist who will be the bridge between HQ and restaurant operations. This role provides hands-on HR support across the employee lifecycle, working directly with General Managers, team members, and HQ leadership. This role is primarily office-based, with up to two days per week visiting multiple restaurant locations across the DMV, plus occasional travel to Chicago for team meetings and hiring events.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full onboarding process and maintain accurate employee records across all locations
- Administer benefits programs, assist with payroll workflows, and support HR compliance
- Support recruiting efforts, including posting jobs, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews
- Partner with General Managers to understand staffing needs and ensure timely hires
- Build relationships with GMs and team members through regular site visits and HR support
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employee questions, workplace investigations, and issue resolution
- Handle office administration tasks, including correspondence, mail, and general HQ support
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Hospitality industry experience, preferably in multi-unit operations (required)
- 2–3 years of experience as an HR generalist or in HR administration
- Proficiency with UKG and experience with an ATS system for recruiting and candidate tracking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Tech-savvy, comfortable using Google Suite, spreadsheets, and HR software
- Scrappy, flexible personality willing to take on tasks beyond the job description
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field visits
