Overview

We are seeking a talented HVAC Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing support to the Production Team and Field Employees by performing a variety of administrative functions tied to Residential HVAC System Design and Installation. The HVAC Design & Material Coordinator operates under general supervision and performs job functions to ensure efficient department material and design control driving cost effectiveness for the HVAC division and company overall.

Duties

  • Use Wrightsoft Program Manual J and Manual D software to size forced air residential heating and cooling equipment as well as design, size and locate the supply and return ductwork for the whole house HVAC System
  • Creation of Energy Star Design Checklist using Wrightsoft Program Software for selected build partners
  • Field verification for HVAC designs with static pressure tests as well and CFM and Temperature with assigned Field Supervisor
  • Responsible for educating office and field team members on HVAC design and installation through Wrightsoft Program Software
  • Field Team training for HVAC design and implementation performed on the jobsite with assigned Field Supervisor
  • Takes phone calls, text and email from Field Team and Field Supervisors to update model material lists and layouts
  • Material templates changes – including material additions made by the field technicians and Field Supervisors
Skills
  • Wrightsoft Software
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Energy and building code compliance for HVAC systems city and state codes.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Technical or College degree preferred.
  • 3 or more years of industry related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities within established deadlines
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact well with others.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability work independently as well as in a team environment
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
