<p>Define Consulting is acting in a search assistance capacity</p><p><strong>Manager of Inventory Management Systems </strong></p><p><strong>Nashville-Based Multi-Location Specialty Retail Company</strong></p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>A Nashville-based, established, multi-location specialty retail organization with a strong brand presence in a high-volume tourism and lifestyle market in specialty retail is seeking an experienced, highly organized <strong>Inventory Systems Manager</strong> to lead inventory strategy, inventory accuracy, merchandise flow, and retail inventory operations across multiple high-volume retail locations and a central warehouse operation.</p><p> </p><p>This role will report directly to the COO and work in close partnership with the Purchasing Manager and Retail Operations Managers to ensure inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, strong product presentation, and overall retail execution excellence.</p><p> </p><p>The company operates in a dynamic retail environment, generating over $20 million in annual sales with thousands of SKUs across multiple product categories. The ideal candidate will bring strong inventory management expertise, operational discipline, and hands-on experience with retail inventory systems, particularly the <strong>Counterpoint Platform.</strong> This role is highly collaborative and will support inventory processes, merchandising execution, seasonal transitions, fulfillment, and retail presentation standards.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Inventory Management & Control</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee inventory levels across all retail locations and warehouse operations</li><li>Maintain accurate inventory records and inventory integrity within the Counterpoint inventory management system</li><li>Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control systems and operational procedures</li><li>Lead physical inventory counts, cycle counts, reconciliation processes, weekly inventory assessments, and fulfillment reviews.</li><li>Monitor stock movement, replenishment cycles, and inventory performance metrics</li><li>Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, shrink concerns, and operational breakdowns.</li><li>Analyze inventory trends, seasonal demand, and sell-through performance</li><li>Ensure timely and accurate product processing, receiving, transfers, and inventory movement within <strong>Counterpoint</strong>.  Strong working knowledge of Counterpoint inventory management systems strongly preferred.</li><li>Support fulfillment processes and inventory allocation across locations</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Retail Operations & Merchandising Support</strong></p><ul><li>Partner with store leadership to maintain appropriate merchandise levels and product presentation standards</li><li>Influence and support of:</li><li>Seasonal merchandising</li><li>Storefront presentation</li><li>Front window displays</li><li>Product flow and merchandising execution</li><li>Collaborate with Retail Operations Managers to support overall store readiness and presentation standards</li><li>Support execution of seasonal transitions, promotional setups, and high-volume retail periods</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Purchasing & Vendor Support</strong></p><ul><li>Work in partnership with the Purchasing Manager to support inventory planning and product flow</li><li>Assist with purchase orders, inventory replenishment, and vendor coordination as needed</li><li>Purchasing background and merchandise planning experience strongly preferred</li><li>May assist with market buying preparation and related operational support activities</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Systems, Reporting & Analysis</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain strong working knowledge of the Counterpoint inventory platform and related reporting tools</li><li>Generate and analyze inventory, fulfillment, and operational reports for leadership review</li><li>Monitor inventory turns, aging inventory, stock levels, and replenishment needs</li><li>Identify opportunities for operational improvement, inventory optimization, and process efficiency</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Leadership & Collaboration</strong></p><ul><li>Work closely with the COO, Purchasing Manager, Retail Operations Managers, warehouse personnel, and store leadership teams</li><li>Help establish accountability and operational consistency related to inventory handling and retail execution</li><li>Support a positive, team-oriented, and results-driven culture</li><li>Train and coach team members on inventory procedures, operational standards, and system processes as needed</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years of experience in inventory management, retail operations, purchasing support, or supply chain operations</li><li>Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with the Counterpoint inventory management system highly preferred</li><li>Experience managing inventory within high SKU-count retail environments</li><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and retail inventory systems</li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment</li><li>Strong communication, follow-through, and cross-functional collaboration skills</li><li>Purchasing and merchandising support experience preferred</li><li>Multi-location retail and warehouse experience preferred</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Compensation & Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Salary Range: <strong>$80,000 – $120,000 plus bonus
