The Manager, People & Organization at Chanel is responsible for executing core Human Resources processes within Saks Fifth Avenue in New York. This role serves as a key business partner to the Boutique Leadership Team (BLT), focusing on leadership development, employee engagement, talent management, and performance management. The ideal candidate will balance hands-on and strategic responsibilities, leveraging their experience to foster an inclusive culture and drive organizational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Lead the execution of core Human Resources processes within Saks Fifth Avenue.
Identify opportunities for specific people strategies.
Partner with the Boutique Leadership Team to build leadership skills and drive performance.
Conduct employee engagement initiatives, including 1:1 check-ins and pulse checks.
Support talent development and organizational structure discussions with the BLT.
Guide the annual compensation and performance review process for the Boutique.
Analyze trends to inform decision-making related to P&O priorities.
Manage recruitment processes, including forecasting hiring needs and leading full cycle recruitment.
Conduct employee relations investigations and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with employment best practices and policies.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of core HR (HR Generalist) experience required.
Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
Prior HR experience within a Retail/Wholesale environment preferred.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to use discretion and independent judgment.
Experience in employee relations.
Nice-to-haves
Comfort with HRIS systems (such as Workday) and performing basic analysis in Excel.
Strong detail orientation and ability to prioritize.
