We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety programs to ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and environmental regulations. This role is crucial in promoting a safe work environment and minimizing risks associated with occupational hazards.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Provide training development for employees on safety practices, emergency response, first aid, CPR, and other relevant topics.
Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to environmental health and safety.
Experience:
A degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in EHS roles or similar positions within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of workers' compensation processes and reporting requirements.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and EPA guidelines is essential.
Strong skills in report writing and data analysis for effective communication of findings.
Ability to fabricate solutions for unique safety challenges as they arise.
