Job Summary
We are currently seeking a dedicated Market & Sales Coordinator to lead and support our Farmer’s Markets and community sales operations. This full-time role is responsible for ensuring consistent execution of Proof Bread’s customer service, sales, product knowledge, and operational standards across all market environments. This position reports to the Sales Director and works closely with leadership and teams at all levels of the organization.
The Market & Sales Coordinator serves as a steward of the Proof Bread brand in community-facing environments and is responsible for ensuring customers experience the hospitality, education, and quality standards that define Proof Bread. This role leads, manages, and holds accountable all Market Leads and market staff while supporting sales growth, operational consistency, and team development.
Success in this role requires someone who is self-driven, punctual, reliable, highly organized, and flexible to work around business needs, especially during weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to
Leadership & Team Development
- Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop market staff and future leaders.
- Foster accountability, professionalism, hospitality, and sales excellence across teams.
- Provide on-site leadership, support, conflict resolution, and operational guidance.
- Create and manage staff schedules and coverage needs 3-4 weeks in advance.
Customer Experience & Sales
- Ensure consistent execution of Proof Bread’s customer service experience and sales standards.
- Train teams on hospitality, product knowledge, storytelling, promotions, and sales techniques.
- Maintain consistent customer-facing messaging and strong product expertise.
- Oversee market display standards, cleanliness, presentation, and service quality.
- Support customer retention through exceptional service and relationship-building.
Operations & Market Coordination
- Build and maintain relationships with farmers’ market and event managers to support strong community partnerships.
- Collaborate with bakery locations, logistics, marketing, and leadership teams to communicate priorities and coordinate market execution.
- Help coordinate timely market deliveries, weekly market pars, and special event forecasting based on sales trends.
- Prepare, organize, and manage market supplies before and after market and events: maintain materials, inventory, packaging, and service supplies to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
- Manage POS systems, iPads, Square terminals, cash handling, deposits, and weekly reporting processes.
- Monitor market operations, identify process improvements, and create resources to streamline execution and team efficiency.
Qualifications
- Valid ID, driver’s license, and food handling certification required (ServSafe Food Manager Certification).
- Minimum 2 years of customer service, leadership, and cash-handling experience.
- Strong multitasking, time management, coaching, and team accountability skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and positive conflict resolution in fast-paced customer service environments.
- Availability to work weekends and remain until all responsibilities are completed.
- Comfortable operating non-CDL delivery vehicles, refrigerated trucks, lift gates, and related delivery equipment; training provided as needed.
