<p><span><strong>Production Operator</strong></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Industry: </strong>Nutraceutical Ingredients & Specialty Chemicals Manufacturer-Distributor /Supply Chain Mgmt</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Location:</strong><span> </span>141 Sheridan Drive, Naugatuck, Connecticut</p><p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Work Hours:</strong><span> </span>Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm</p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Reports to:</strong> Production Supervisor</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION: </strong>The Production Operator </span>will be responsible for a variety of duties. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:</p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>MANUFACTURING</span></p><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Weigh ingredients for production as per instructions on batch record</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Load products onto machines</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Set up and operate manufacturing equipment- blenders, granulators, mill, etc.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Stage utensils for manufacturing</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Load products onto trays for drying</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Assist in milling products</span></p></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"><span>CLEANING</span></p><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Clean equipment before and after use</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Clean manufacturing rooms and warehouse</span></p></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"><span>PACKAGING AND LABELING</span></p><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Weigh and pack finished products</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Apply labels on packaged product containers</span></p></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"><span>PROCEDURES</span></p><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Written standard operating procedures must be followed at all stages in manufacturing</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Follow proper hygiene and safety protocols as per written procedures</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Document cleaning on logs for all equipment</span></p></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"><span>OTHER</span></p><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Operate a Forklift</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Prepare trays</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Prepare cartons and drums for packing</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Collect trash on premises, place in collection bin</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Cross-train on tray washing, floor washing and production area sanitation.</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Cross-train to back-up warehouse house (shipping and receiving)</span></p></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"><strong>Other duties as assigned</strong></p><p class="MsoNormal">*Note: <strong>Must be able to safely lift 60 lbs.</strong></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>JOB QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>High School degree is required. Associate’s and/or Trade Degree is a plus. Valid Driver’s License & Car Required. Forklift Certification preferred. 1-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. This job requires someone who is self-motivated, able to perform work while standing for most of the day. Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
