Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial management and reporting for the company, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
  • Supervise day‑to‑day accounting operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, cash management, and general ledger activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, providing actionable financial insights.
  • Participate in the implementation and optimization of the company’s ERP system, ensuring smooth transition and process improvements.
  • Manage the company’s bank accounts, including CAD and USD, and oversee money‑market accounts for cash‑flow management.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls, supporting external reporting and audits.
  • Continuously improve accounting processes, documentation, and financial visibility to support the company’s growth and scalability.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 4‑6 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least some exposure to manufacturing or project‑based environments .
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation (completed or near completion) strongly preferred .
  • Experience with ERP implementations is a strong bonus.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage and mentor a small team of accounting professionals.
  • Ability to work hands‑on with the numbers, while also being strategic in decision‑making and process improvements.
