If you'd like to apply and need adjustments made, you can let us know in your application.<br>Location<br>UK, hybrid (London) or remote<br>About SenseLab<br>SenseLab is Avalere Health’s distributed Center of Excellence at the intersection of primary market research, experience strategy, and AI-enabled insight transformation.<br>We integrate qualitative and quantitative research, behavioral science, and journey design to generate actionable insight across the product lifecycle, from early asset strategy through launch and lifecycle optimization.<br>Our focus is not only on generating insight, but on translating it into strategic direction that drives decision-making and impact.<br>About The Role<br>We are seeking a Senior Consultant – Primary Market Research (PMR) with strong strategic consulting experience and deep expertise in qualitative and quantitative methodologies.<br>This role sits at the nexus of research and strategy: leading primary research while translating findings into clear strategic recommendations, positioning, and experience implications.<br>You will lead core workstreams, manage clients with autonomy, and act as a thought partner in shaping decisions across brand, medical, and access strategy.<br>What You’ll Do<br>Lead Strategic Primary Research<br>Design and deliver qualitative and quantitative research aligned to key business questions<br>Define research objectives in the context of broader strategic challenges (e.g., positioning, launch readiness, experience optimization)<br>Select and apply appropriate methodologies (IDIs, ethnography, surveys, conjoint, segmentation, etc.)<br>Ensure research is hypothesis-driven and decision-oriented, not purely exploratory<br>Oversee recruitment, vendors, and fieldwork quality<br>Translate Insight into Strategy<br>Synthesize research into clear, actionable strategic implications<br>Identify unmet needs, behavioral drivers, and key tensions within the market<br>Develop outputs such as:<br>Positioning frameworks<br>Segmentation and targeting strategies<br>Message and concept optimization<br>Strategic imperatives for brand and portfolio decisions<br>Move beyond reporting to provide clear recommendations and direction<br>Quantitative & Advanced Research Leadership<br>Lead quantitative design and interpretation, including:<br>Segmentation<br>Message and concept testing<br>Conjoint and trade-off analyses<br>Translate data outputs into commercially meaningful insights<br>Partner with analytics teams where deeper modeling is required<br>Ensure outputs are accessible, credible, and decision-ready<br>Journey & Experience Integration<br>Apply research to inform patient, caregiver, and provider journeys<br>Translate findings into personas, behavioral archetypes, and experience opportunities<br>Ensure research connects to experience design and downstream activation<br>Contribute to journey development across both static and digital environments (e.g., SenseMap)<br>Client Leadership & Consulting Excellence<br>Act as a strategic advisor to clients, not just a research lead<br>Lead workstreams, client discussions, and insight readouts<br>Manage timelines, budgets, and day-to-day client engagementFacilitate discussions and workshops to align stakeholders around insight and strategy<br>Mentor junior team members and guide their development<br>Cross-Capability Integration<br>Collaborate with Experience Strategy, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Market Access teams<br>Ensure research is integrated into broader strategic and commercial programs<br>Contribute to multi-disciplinary engagements across the product lifecycle<br>What We Can Offer<br>You’ll receive up to a 7% pension contribution, life insurance, income protection, and private medical insurance for peace of mind.
