Senior Search Data and Systems Engineer, Organic and Agentic Search

Job Description:

• Build the intelligence and automation layer on top of marketing and AI visibility data
• Transform structured data into decision frameworks, automated insights, and applied AI workflows
• Define how search and AI visibility data should be collected, transformed, and operationalized
• Partner closely with data engineering and BI teams
• Ensure underlying datasets, instrumentation, and reporting outputs support SEO and AI visibility analysis
• Shape ingestion and normalization strategies for datasets across APIs, warehouses, and platforms
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across reporting systems
• Translate business questions into structured technical requirements
• Define analytical frameworks and scoring logic for evaluating brand visibility
• Develop monitoring and alerting systems for meaningful shifts in search visibility
• Build and maintain automation and prioritization models for actionable recommendations
• Partner with various teams to embed search intelligence systems into planning and execution workflows
• Document system logic and operational processes for long-term scalability

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, applied analytics, search systems, or technical marketing roles
• Experience partnering with data engineering or analytics engineering teams
• Strong understanding of marketing and analytics data architecture
• Experience working with APIs, structured datasets, and large-scale analytical environments
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar languages
• Experience designing analytical or decision systems
• Deep familiarity with search, discovery, or ranking systems
• Hands-on experience evaluating, prototyping, or productionizing AI-driven workflows
• Ability to bridge technical implementation and business strategy
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional partners
• Track record of documenting systems
• Comfort being the first or only person in a role
