And we’re here to help it hop faster.<br></p><p><strong>Senior Software Engineer (Developer Platform)</strong></p><p>We're building the foundational layer that connects Magic Containers, Edge Scripting, and Database into one seamless developer experience, and this role sits right at the center of it.</p><p>You'll design and own the projects, secrets management, and observability platform that developers interact with every day. This is greenfield work: the APIs you build here will shape how customers build and scale on bunny.net for years to come.</p><p>You'll work alongside a small, highly autonomous Core API team that ships fast, debates ideas openly, and cares deeply about developer experience. If you love building infrastructure that developers love using, you'll feel right at home.<br></p><p><strong>What will you do?</strong></p><ul><li><p>Design and implement the project layer connecting resources across Magic Containers, Edge Scripting, and Bunny Database</p></li><li><p>Build dev/staging/prod environment management so customers can ship with confidence</p></li><li><p>Architect secrets management APIs, think secure storage, sharing, and access patterns across products</p></li><li><p>Build observability features - unified logs and metrics - that let customers diagnose problems across multiple bunny services through a simple and powerful UX</p></li><li><p>Create fine-grained API key and permission systems with strong multi-tenant isolation</p></li><li><p>Design APIs that are intuitive, consistent, and genuinely enjoyable to work with</p></li><li><p>Shape architectural decisions and contribute to engineering standards across the Core API team<br></p></li></ul><p><strong>What will you bring?</strong></p><ul><li><p>Strong C# / .NET backend experience, including async, memory management, and concurrency</p></li><li><p>A sharp sense of API design from the developer's perspective: naming, consistency, error handling</p></li><li><p>Experience building APIs and interfaces used directly by other developers</p></li><li><p>Experience building secure, multi-tenant backend systems</p></li><li><p>Solid understanding of secrets management and credential security principles</p></li><li><p>Proficiency with RabbitMQ (or similar) for background processing and queuing</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience with MariaDB (or similar relational databases)</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with CI/CD via GitHub Actions and monitoring with Grafana</p></li><li><p>A rigorous testing mindset: integration tests, quality gates, and edge cases</p></li><li><p>Proficiency using AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) as a daily workflow multiplier</p></li><li><p>Full ownership mentality: from design through to production</p></li><li><p>Good judgment on when to go deep alone and when to bring others in</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently in an async, fast-moving environment</p></li><li><p>Clear communication: in code, in reviews, and in Slack</p></li></ul><p><strong>What will make us extra happy?</strong></p><ul><li><p>Experience building developer platforms, PaaS products, or internal tooling</p></li><li><p>Experience designing API key and permission systems at scale</p></li><li><p>Experience building logging, observability, or tracing products</p></li><li><p>Redis knowledge for caching and performance</p></li><li><p>Startup or scale-up experience with high ownership and autonomy<br></p></li></ul><p><strong>Where should you be located?</strong></p><blockquote style="color:rgb(34, 60, 106);font-style:normal;"><p>This job is fully remote from Europe (ideally CET +- 3 hours).
