Hertz operates one of the largest and most complex vehicle fleets in the world. The Senior Director, Fleet Product Management will define and lead the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for all fleet-related products and platforms across the enterprise.

This leader will own the end-to-end digital and operational ecosystem that powers fleet acquisition, utilization, maintenance, disposition, telematics, and lifecycle optimization. The role requires a unique combination of strategic thinking, technical depth, operational excellence, and executive influence.

You will lead a high-performing team of product leaders and work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, data science, finance, and executive leadership to transform Hertz’s fleet into a data-driven, intelligent, and highly optimized asset.

What You’ll Own

  • Define and drive the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for Hertz’s fleet product ecosystem.
  • Lead the development of platforms and products that optimize fleet lifecycle management, including acquisition, allocation, utilization, maintenance, and remarketing.
  • Build and scale intelligent, data-driven systems leveraging telematics, IoT, AI/ML, and predictive analytics to maximize fleet ROI.
  • Partner with operations to digitize and modernize fleet workflows across thousands of locations globally.
  • Establish real-time visibility and control systems for fleet health, availability, and performance.
  • Drive enterprise-wide initiatives related to electrification (EVs), connected vehicles, and emerging mobility technologies.
  • Own product governance, prioritization, and investment decisions across the fleet product portfolio.
What You’ll Do:
  • Lead and develop a team of product managers and leaders, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and execution excellence.
  • Translate business goals into scalable product strategies and technical solutions.
  • Collaborate deeply with engineering, data science, BI, finance, legal, and operations to deliver end-to-end outcomes.
  • Elevate the quality of data instrumentation, analytics, and decision-making frameworks across fleet systems.
  • Define and track north-star metrics such as utilization, downtime, maintenance cost, and lifecycle profitability.
  • Drive alignment and secure buy-in from senior executives (VP, C-level) on key initiatives and investments.
  • Identify and act on emerging trends in mobility, connected vehicles, EV infrastructure, and fleet optimization technologies.
  • Balance customer experience, operational efficiency, and financial outcomes in all product decisions.

Basic Qualifications
  • 12+ years of product management experience, including leading large-scale, complex product portfolios
  • Proven experience owning end-to-end product strategy, roadmap, and execution
  • Strong track record of building and scaling high-performing product teams
  • Experience working on data-intensive, operational, or platform products
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and drive cross-functional alignment
  • Deep understanding of technology architecture, trade-offs, and system design
  • Experience operating in agile environments and delivering at scale
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in fleet management, mobility, automotive, logistics, or transportation
  • Exposure to telematics, IoT, connected vehicles, or EV ecosystems
  • Strong background in data platforms, analytics, or AI/ML-driven products
  • Experience managing global or highly distributed operational systems
  • MBA or advanced degree in engineering, data science, or related field
