The <strong>Loyola University Maryland</strong>campus bookstore is looking for a driven undergraduate student to join our team as a <strong>Student CMO (Campus Marketing Officer – Marketing Intern) </strong>for the 2026–2027 academic year. This is a hands-on opportunity to build real-world marketing experience while helping shape the student experience on campus. From creating engaging social content to promoting bookstore events and student initiatives, you’ll play a key role in bringing the bookstore brand to life.<br><br><strong>Overview<br><br></strong>This role offers valuable experience in digital marketing, brand strategy, content creation, experiential marketing, and consumer engagement within a fast-paced retail environment.<br><br><ul><li> Create engaging social media and digital content for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. </li><li> Help plan and execute student-focused marketing campaigns, promotions, and events. </li><li> Support experiential marketing efforts including author visits, bookstore activations, giveaways, and student programs. </li><li> Research marketing trends and help identify new ways to connect with students and grow engagement. </li><li> Collaborate with bookstore leadership and campus partners on creative campaigns and special projects. </li><li> Assist with marketing strategy development and brand-building initiatives. </li><li> Support additional marketing and promotional efforts as needed. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li> Current undergraduate student at Loyola University Maryland majoring in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. </li><li> Strong communication and storytelling skills with an eye for engaging content. </li><li> Passion for social media, branding, and campus engagement. </li><li> Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects. </li><li> Self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively. </li><li> Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools is a plus. </li><li> Previous marketing, retail, or campus involvement experience is helpful but not required. </li><li> Ability to commit for at least 6 months; full academic year preferred. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Maryland Pay Transparency Information (Only applicable in Maryland stores):<br><br></strong>Pay Rate: $15.25/hr.<br><br><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong>This is more than an internship — it’s a chance to build your portfolio, gain hands-on marketing experience, collaborate with campus leaders, and make a visible impact on student life at Loyola University Maryland.<br><br><strong> EEO Statement <br><br></strong>Barnes & Noble College is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
