About the position

Performs activities necessary to process payroll, including maintaining related records, analyzing reports and voluntary deduction reports.

Responsibilities

  • Use advanced technology to process payroll transactions and analyze results for payroll companies.
  • Answer employee requests received through Service Now cases regarding time entry and pay.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Participate in special projects assigned by Payroll department management.
  • Research pay policies, documents and works with relevant stakeholders inside and outside of department to ensure accuracy and understanding of pay practices.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher is required (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of a PC with the Microsoft Office application package.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition to employment in this position.
  • Entergy will not sponsor candidates for work visas for this position.
