We are looking for a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to join our IT team in Nagercoil. As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations across all systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and computer systems.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
  • Ensure system security by implementing firewalls, antivirus solutions, and data protection measures.
  • Manage user access, accounts, and system permissions.
  • Perform software and hardware upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance.
  • Conduct system backups and disaster recovery planning.
  • Work closely with IT teams and vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Provide technical support to employees and train users on IT best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, IT Support Engineer, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems and server management.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, etc.).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with database management and backup solutions.
  • Understanding of scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • IT certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, RHCE, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are a plus.
