We are looking for a skilled and proactive Systems Administrator to join our IT team in Nagercoil. As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations across all systems. Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and computer systems.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
Ensure system security by implementing firewalls, antivirus solutions, and data protection measures.
Manage user access, accounts, and system permissions.
Perform software and hardware upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance.
Conduct system backups and disaster recovery planning.
Work closely with IT teams and vendors to resolve complex technical issues.
Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Provide technical support to employees and train users on IT best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, IT Support Engineer, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems and server management.
Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, etc.).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Skills
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Familiarity with database management and backup solutions.
Understanding of scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
IT certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, RHCE, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator are a plus.
