Are you passionate about travel, exceptional customer service, and continuous learning? We are seeking a Travel Agent in Training who will manage travel arrangements for both business and leisure clients. Your role will involve providing tourism-related services and creating package tours in collaboration with our suppliers. Our goal is to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty for future services.

Think you have what it takes to be a travel agent? Our application process involves two stages before we review resumes or conduct interviews:

  • Travel Knowledge and Geography Test: This basic test will be sent to you after we receive your application.

Work Hours:

  • Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
  • Occasional after-hours, weekend, or travel may be required for events or emergency support.

Job Type: Full-time, In Office.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour starting

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Examples of Events:

  • Conferences (Nationally & Internationally): 1 to 7 days (Paid)
  • Bridal Shows: 1 to 2 days (Paid)
  • Cruise Nights: 2 to 3 hours (Paid)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and customize vacation experiences for clients, including destinations, tour packages, excursions, transportation, and accommodations.
  • Book travel arrangements such as flights, cruises, hotels, rental cars, and travel insurance through a network of over 130 suppliers worldwide.
  • Stay updated on travel deals, advisories, and supplier training to be a valuable resource to your clients.
  • Participate in weekly team training to enhance your booking and earning potential.
  • Manage payment plans and follow host agency guidelines for credit card processing.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Moderate to strong understanding of geography.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable with new technology, including travel apps and booking systems.
  • Passion for helping people and enthusiasm for social media.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong sales skills, commercial awareness, and effective communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international travel trends; personal travel experience is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain a passport and travel internationally (no criminal priors, e.g., DUIs, felonies).

Required Equipment:

  • Desktop or laptop computer (for WFH or emergencies).
  • Smartphone (for WFH or emergencies).
  • Reliable internet service (for WFH or emergencies).

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Starting at $15 per hour + Commission Plan (Raise at 90 days and 1 year).

Note: Unlike some agencies that pool bonuses and incentives, we ensure that each agent keeps their own, allowing for greater personal rewards. Agents are responsible for their own 1099 filings if earnings exceed the federal tax-free limit.
