We are looking for a talented, hard-working video editor for our fast-paced online environment for the Vancouver Film School Youtube Channel. This is an internship role with potential to turn into a full time offer. If you have a passion for video editing and enjoy being surrounded with trending online multi-media content, then this is the job for you. This position requires to be creative with your edits. You will: - Research, navigate and organize large amounts of media to effectively manage a project - Meet with stakeholders to establish the desired feel and look for the video to be created while adhering to brand guidelines - Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation - Improve video and sound quality using various video software - Participate in ideation and storyboarding sessions to effectively convey content - Provide editorial feedback that relates to production - Create illustrations, screenshots, images, and animations to improve support materials - Design and produce video effects such as animated titles, transitions, and motion graphics **Requirements**: - Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, etc.) - working knowledge of graphic design, creation, and implementation, both with and without templates - Video production, video editing, and production of trailers, hype videos, promotional and marketing videos, etc. - Strong skills in color correction and sound mixing - Strong communication skills to collaborate - The ability to perform under deadline in a calm, efficient, and professional manner **Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Internship / Co-op Contract length: 6-12 months Part-time hours: 40 per week **Salary**: $20.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - Paid time off - RRSP match - Vision care - VRSP Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift Supplemental pay types: - Bonus pay - Commission pay - Overtime pay
