<strong style="font-weight:700;">Job Title: Electrical Wire Harness Assembler</strong><br /><strong>Job Description</strong><p>This role focuses on assembling, reworking, and testing electrical wire harnesses for aircraft and related components. You will interpret work orders and technical documentation, perform detailed hands-on electrical work on connectors and terminations, and ensure all assemblies meet quality and safety standards. The position requires strong attention to detail, comfort with repetitive and precise tasks, and the ability to work effectively across multiple shifts in a production environment.<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, form boards, and wire lists to determine required materials, tools, and the sequence of assembly.</li><li>Assemble and rework wire harnesses for aircraft components according to specifications and established procedures.</li><li>Rework connectors, back shells, wire terminations, splices, split rings, lugs, and other components built into a wire harness.</li><li>Wrap and tie wires neatly and securely to meet quality and safety standards.</li><li>Route wires and cables through harnesses and assemblies following diagrams and routing instructions.</li><li>Modify routing and breakouts as needed to accommodate engineering changes or updated work instructions.</li><li>Perform electrical tests on wire harnesses and components to verify functionality and compliance with specifications.</li><li>Troubleshoot basic electrical issues within wire harnesses and make necessary corrections or repairs.</li><li>Complete all associated paperwork accurately, including test records, rework documentation, and production reports.</li><li>Follow all standard operating procedures and quality guidelines to maintain consistency and reliability in production.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle tools and equipment safely.</li></ul><strong>Essential Skills</strong><ul><li>At least 1 year of aircraft electrical experience, including work with aircraft components or similar electrical assemblies.</li><li>Hands-on experience with wire harness assembly and rework.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret work orders, diagrams, form boards, and wire lists.</li><li>Proficiency in reworking connectors, back shells, wire terminations, splices, split rings, and lugs.</li><li>Experience in routing wires and changing routing and breakouts in wire harnesses.</li><li>Ability to perform basic electrical tests on harnesses and components.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for electrical harness issues.</li><li>Attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise electrical assembly work.</li><li>Ability to complete required documentation and paperwork accurately.</li></ul><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong><ul><li>Prior experience working with aircraft components or in an aerospace production environment.</li><li>Familiarity with blueprint reading and following technical drawings.</li><li>Comfort working in a structured production environment with established processes and quality standards.</li><li>Ability to work both 1st and 3rd shift schedules as needed.</li><li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.</li></ul><strong>Why Work Here?</strong><p>You will join an established team where electrical craftsmanship and quality are highly valued, and your work directly supports critical aerospace applications. The role requires availability to work both 1st and 3rd shift schedules, with the 3rd shift operating Monday through Thursday from 9:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. (starting Sunday night) and Friday from 9:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. The dress code is practical and safety-focused, consisting of jeans, a work shirt, and closed-toe shoes. The work involves standing at workstations, using hand tools and test equipment, and following structured processes and documentation in a shop-floor setting.<p><strong>Job Type & Location</strong><p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.</p><strong>Pay and Benefits</strong><p>The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.<p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
