Description:

  • Maintain and repair assets to keep equipment in proper operating condition.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on complex automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair control and electrical failures involving PLCs, HMIs, servomotors, servo amplifiers, input/output devices, and field sensors.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including actuators, valves, pumps, and filters.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems such as ballscrews, linear rails, guideways, gearboxes, and three-phase motors.
  • Drive forklifts and company vehicles as needed.
  • Interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and drawings to support diagnostics and repairs.
  • Document repairs and write detailed repair reports.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues and implement permanent solutions.
  • Perform other related duties to support an efficient and effective work environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • 8+ years of maintenance technician experience.
  • 8+ years of experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and/or electrical repair.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience as a maintenance technician or field service engineer (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience repairing, troubleshooting, and/or commissioning overhead crane equipment (preferred).
  • Experience installing, aligning, and commissioning automated production cells in an aerospace environment (preferred).
  • Experience accessing and modifying Siemens control logic or similar PLC architectures (preferred).
  • Experience with precision machine tools in an aerospace manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Experience with CAD and/or mechanical design (preferred).
  • Experience operating a forklift and other related inventory equipment (preferred).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and drawings.
  • Ability to write detailed repair reports with advanced MS Office skills.
  • Ability to use power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment.
  • Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment while following company policies, quality policies, and industry standards.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with a high sense of urgency.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement permanent solutions.
  • Ability to meet physical job requirements, including standing, lifting, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and working in high temperatures and at heights up to 500 ft.
  • Ability to safely work in confined spaces and use an air-purifying respirator.
  • Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen/national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise authorized by the U.S. Department of State.
